President-elect Barack Obama announced his energy and environmental team yesterday:

Energy Secretary – Nobel prize-winning physicist and director of the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, Steven Chu

Environmental Protection Agency Head – Former commissioner of New Jersey’s Department of Environmental Protection, Lisa Jackson

Assistant to the President for Energy and Climate Change (newly created position on overseeing energy, climate and environmental issues) – Former Clinton EPA Administrator Carol Browner

Deputy Assistant to the President for Energy and Climate Change – Former Legislative Director to Senator John Kerry Heather Zichal

Chair of the White House Council on Environmental Quality – Los Angeles Deputy Mayor for Energy and Environment and Mayor Villaraigosa’s appointment to the Board of Directors for the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California Nancy Sutley

The team is anchored by a Nobel prize winner, and Mr. Obama seems to have very big plans for the future of America’s energy policy. What do you think of the new energy team?
